Refinance with HEL

I own a house with my ex. I am getting a home equity loan to refinance the house and to buy him out. Because I am not refinancing the house with a cash out mortgage, do I still need to get a real estate attorney to handle the transaction?

You definitely should be using a lawyer to process the closing.
