Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My sister took out the morgage on a property before I migrated to the States. My name was added to title of the property (he is single with no children) a few months after he purchased it. Now the property is going through the process of short sale. The loan company is now suing him and myself (I am not on the loan) requesing earnings and all liabilities from me. Does the fact that I am not on the loan mean that they are only entitled to cease the property under question and nothing else from me?

Since you did not sign the note, you are not liable for payment.
