Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Special Assessments / Past HOA dues

Three months back, I purchased a condo. At the time of closing, I specifically asked the closing agent regarding past dues on the property and she said 'title insurance' will take care of any past dues, I don't have to worry at all.

Now Condo management is asking me to clear two special assessments done in the past on my condo (total amount is over $9000) and I can pay them off in easy monthly installments.

Now my title insurance company says they've cleared all the dues and according to condo management, whatever amount they've paid is seperate than the special assessements.

Now I'm seeking your advise please.

Thank you,

Ahmed
