Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

Speeding

I was stopped for speeding in Alligator Alley in, as far as I can recall, January 1996. One of my companions offered to take care of the matter but only recently learned that he may not have paid the fine. If it is outstanding I should like to remedy this. Can you help me? My date of birth is 7th December 1936 and my driving licence number is COHEN312076MD9SC 10.

Hello, I just read your question. I take it you are not in Florida? If you want my office or another attorney to handle this, it should be a simple matter. I would first contact a drivers license office and give them your name and if known, your prior drivers license # ( also, the citation #). There may be a D-6 (delinquency) issued or maybe even a capias for arrest (although I doubt the latter). If it is simply paying the delinquency, you pay that and pay the cost of the ticket and that may be it.
