what does it mean when an attorney for the PR files this: NOTICE OF PRODUCTION FROM NON-PARTY? thank you.

It means they want to issue a subpoena for someone to produce documents without deposition who is not involved in the probate matter. They are giving all the parties who are involved an opportunity to object to the subpoena for records. If an objection is filed, then an actual deposition can then be set to get the records.
