Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I have an aunt who died in Sumter county. Her executor has refused to show the family the will. He stated that everything was left to him. It doesn't seem right as he and my aunt were not very close at all. The rest of the family and myself included were very close. If what he says is true then we will leave it alone but he has refused to even let us read it or hear a reading of it. Do we have any rights?

The will if it exists will be recorded at the probate court.

Does your Aunt have any children surviving - they would be the rightful heirs. If there are no children and no Will, then it would go according to heirs at law statute.

Yes. You can contest the Will. Also, once the Will is filed, if you are a interested party, the court may give you a copy without going through this executor.
