Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Divorce almost through but I'm very ill

My dad is very ill and in the midst of a divorce. The papers are already signed by both parties but it has not gone thorugh the court yet to be stamped. My dad needs surgery and is very nervous about doing it at this time as he feels if something should happen to him the divorce would not go thorugh. Is this true? Would the settlement that was made be final?

He is correct. Until signed by the judge nothing is final.
