Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My father died not owning real estate and less than 500 in the bank, no investments or insurance. He has outstanding debts (medical mostly). Am I liable? I have not cosigned anything w/ him.

No. As long as you have not signed anything that would name you as a co signer or paid any bills on behalf of your father. As to the funds in the bank, if you are the only heir take the death certificate to the bank to collect the funds. If he named a beneficiary, that person would be entitled to the funds.
