Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I have a father who lives in Florida (I live in Mississippi) He has a large amount of money in the bank plus owns several pieces of property. He has no will ( that I know of) He has a total of 5 kids. What will happen?

Assuming he is not married, all assets will be equally divided among the children (if there is a pre-deceased child that left children, their children would get that share).

If he is married, then there are some other factors, but it typically is split between the spouse and the children.

Also, the interested parties will hopefully agree as to who will administer the estate, or that would complicate the situation. Having a Will helps direct these issues.
