Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

How do you find out what is in a persons estate, bank accounts, life insurance policys etc.. What if a sibling that has access to all does not want to produce such material. He is in charge and may in fact has his name on everything but does not produce evidence of anything. Says there was nothing left. what would be the appropriate action ? The will does not in fact give details of accounts or life ins. policy

You could file a caveat with the estate, which means you can ask for a review of the will and the estate. You need to talk to the personal representative (PR) of the estate to find this out. Wills rarely have what is in a person's estate. Furthermore, life insurance is passed outside of the estate so if you haven't received anything yet, you probably never will. Again, talk to the PR and/or get your own attorney.
