Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

When my Grandparents past away there estate was split three ways. The person who was in charge of my grandparents estate and my trust has spent part of my share of the estate over 10,000 USD and failed to pay the taxes on the house I owned in the name of my trust to which he received all the bills being executor of my trust causing it to be sold to pay off the tax debt. Do I need to hire a lawyer to sue (and if so what sort do I hire) or is this a police matter?

You probably should report it to the police. I think they will probably say it is a civil matter, even though it does appear he stole your money and therefore a criminal theft. Call a lawyer too and see about suing this person as well. Good luck.
