Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

llife insurance in probate

I dont'think my prior question was clear. So here goes again: Are life insurance proceeds part of a probated estate? If the parties were going through a divorce and the husband dies naming his mother the beneficiary of the life insurance, ARE THE PROCEEDS PART OF THE PROBATED ESTATE (no trusts)regardless of/if the wife does or does not choose her elective share? Let me re-phrase: Are life insurance proceeds automatically paid out to the beneficiary (upon death cert.) to the benficiary or are the proceeds concis=dered part of the probated estate?
