Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I am a paralegal student and need to know for a project if shares in a law firm can be inherited by a son who is a licenced attorney in the firm. I know only licenced attorneys can have equity in a law firm no matter what type of buisness organization it is.

In theory the answer is "yes." However, most law firm partnership agreements contain provisions to buy-out deceased and/or disabled partner interests.
