Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Value

I am seeking information on how to determined the

value of a house which is the only asset in the estate. Is

the value of the house determined at the date of death

or is it determined at the closing of probate? There is

no trust associate with this estate. The value of the

house has gone up in value but I have not had the

money to file hire an attorney to start probate. My

father's child wants all the money she can get from this

house and I really need to know what to do or where I

can find answers. Please help!!!!!

Re: Value

I am unsure of what information you need. If the house was left to someone in a will, that person takes the house togeather with the increased value of the house. From your question it appears there may be some other issues here and I think you need to speak with an attorney. Give me a call or send an email if you want to talk about this in more detail.
