Out of state bank CDs probate

If we have bank CD's in a state other than our resident state, upon our passing, will the CD's be probated in the state of our residence or in the state of where the CD was opened ?

you will need an ancillary probate unless the CDs are held jointly.

You may probate the entire estate, even property having a situs outside the state, in one state.
