Unpaid Medical bills
My mother recently passed away, and she had a few credit cards in her name only and she also had medical bills. Is my father responsible for the bills? He did not sign anything credit card applications, nor did he sign any paper work with the Hospital, claiming responsibility.

He is not liable for her debts when he has not signed anything agreeing to be responsible.
