willed property

My husbands will stated if property sold I was to get1/2 and the other half to my two children. One child died 2 years ago. I have a sale of the property. How is the money to be divided? Thanks.

You must provide much more information. Was the will probated? Was this his home? Were you on the deed? Did you have a premarital agreement? Are the children minors? Without a premarital agreement, he could not legally leave his home 1/2 to you and 1/2 to his children. If that is what he tried, the home would pass life estate to you and the remainder at your death to his children.
