Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

injury

i was on a service call at a hotel i slipped on wet floor i grabed thejice dispenser door and the dispenser fell i recieved a deep cut on my wrist which required stiches also at the emergency room i was told i will need surgery for a bicep tendon rupture and rotary cuff i had surgery three days ago and i will be out of work for a while also i willneed physical therapy i was told by workers comp i will be paid up to 66% of my salary my question is should this be a workers comp or a liability case?

You can have both a compensation claim and a third party claim.

It should be both. WC from your employer and liability against the Hotel. If there is a reoovery against the hotel, the compensation carrier will have the right to get back some of the money spent on the WC case, but never all of it. See a lawyer who handles both workers' comp and liability cases.
