I hope she has an attorney and if so speak to the attorney. If you do not have an attorney, get one.

She needs to tell her attorney right away! It is possible that the attorney can make some alternative arrangements (such as attend the depo telephonically or even conduct the depo where she is (hospital or home)). If she is the one to be deposed, and she simply doesn't show-up, she can be liable for everyone else's expenses and time who did show up as scheduled. Again, her attorney needs to know about this right away!
