Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

I won a worker comp. case many yrs. ago. Now I am being stalked by a private investigator who has harrassed me on the phone and is now going around to my neighbors asking personal questions about me. What rightd do I have?

Probably it would be best to speak to your work comp lawyer who handled your case. I assume you receive PTD (permanent and total disability benefits), and so, by law, the comp carrier has a right to assign a PI to follow you and video your activities as long as they follow the law, i.e. they must not trespass or violate any reasonable expectation of privacy. They shouldn't defame or slander you to the neighbors or invade your privacy. In all likelihood, they want to settle your case for a lump sum and close the medical, which is another good reason for calling your lawyer. Any good WC lawyer could probably help but, if your former lawyer is still around, I'd start there.
