Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

Sale of Real Estate during Bankruptcy Chaper 7

I filed Chapter 7 a few weeks ago. Prior to filing I was working with my mortgage company on a short sale. They initially lost the information so I filed protection (chapter 7) Now the lender has a proposal (offer) but can not accept it due to the fact that I filed Chapter 7. There are no assets and the sale of the property would no result in a profit(asset). Can the Trustee approve the sale during the Bankruptcy process?

Only your lawyer can answer this question.

I am assuming you filed with a lawyer beacuse it is extremely foolish and dangerous to file Chapter 7 without counsel.

Your lawyer should have reviewed all your options about the home, and can file any appropriate motions now.
