Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

Non Disclosure Agreement

My question relates to contact information and public domain. If I learn of contacts through my company, then I happen to leave the company, if I am hired by another company that isn't necessarily directly competing, can I use those contacts as if they were public domain? Since the industry I work in is rather small, it is likely that any contacts I may gain while working for this new company would be identical to those contacts of my prior company, am I barred from speaking with these companies? The NDA specifically says that I may not disclose the contact information to any other persons, and says nothing about me contacting them.

Re: Non Disclosure Agreement

One would need to review all documents to answer your questions. You also fail to define "learn of contacts," and in what form you currently have those contacts. Customer lists and contact information (including copies, data, etc.) are often deemed company property and a former employee can be sued for taking the information regardless of any contracts.
