Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

My daughter was accused of stealing money from her employer. When approached by management, she was told to confess and resign or be arrested. She did not confess, so the police were called. She was arrested without the employer producing evidence or any type, no video (as they were waiting to get video from corporate office), ledgers or anything. Nor was she found to have cash on her. Were the officers justified in the arrest as it seems like there was no probable cause? Is this employer violating her civil rights as an employee?

There is no civil right or entitlement to any job, so the employer did not need a reason to terminate employment (though it appears they did have a reason). As far as evidence, it does no good for anyone to hear one side (indirect from a parent) of the story. We can't possibly know the employer's story or all the facts. Those are issues your daughter will discuss with her lawyer (and people charged with crimes need lawyers).
