Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

job related legal question

At work, my asst manager and I got in a heated discussion. It ended with him yelling across the store (in front of customers and employees) that I am a bitch and needed to shut the fuck up. Do I have anything protecting me from this?

Re: job related legal question

You can certainly complain to whomever is his superior about his unprofessional behavior, but a fight at work shouldn't have escalated this far.

If he got to the point where discretion was non-existent, then you share in that responsibility because it takes two to tango. This has nothing to do with who was right and who was wrong, but with how you relate to each other.

If there is an on-going problem, you two need to address it and not let hostility spill over to the point both of you get fired.

If you are his superior, and have control, insist that you go to mediation to talk it through. There are local community centers that can help you do this low cost.
