Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

I recently signed up for a pageant and I paid 247.50 for two children ($495 total). When I went to the training program, I felt that it was very unprofessional and very shady. (By the end of the program, I even saw the representatives sitting on the floor counting their money). I called and asked for a refund but they told me they had a no refund policy stated in the "packet" they had given us in the free information session. The packet was 5 pages long and the no refund policy was stated very subtle inside a paragraph. When I even signed the terms of agreement, it did not state anything about a no refund policy. I still have to pay $495 to proceed with the pageant but I really want that refund back.

It's your fault if you chose to pay money without reading the materials. Regardless, unless the paperwork you signed allows for refunds you have no legal right to one.

Most pageants are scams. So learn from this (and do make a report to the state office of consumer affairs) but based upon what you posted, you appear not to have a case (no one can say for sure unless they read the contract).
