Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

I had a car repoed in 2009 in GA. It was sold for about a third of what I owed on it. I vaguely remember getting a letter shortly after that stating that I owed the balance and I moved and haven't received any further communication. Yesterday at work, I received a call from an unknown number on my cell and I answered it. It was a male in a room that must have had a 100 people talking on other phones as well because I could hear so much background noise that it was hard to hear him. He told me that the debt had been sold by citifinancial to his company and that citifinancial had said that they had sent out numerous letters to me concerning the balance owed. I haven't received any because I have moved and I'm assuming that they are sending it to my previous address and it is being returned to sender or being trashed by the current residents. I was at work and busy, so I very unprofessionally hung up on him. He called back and left a voice mail saying that they were going to do a final disposition at my place of employment since that seemed to be their only option. Can they do that? Unluckily for them, yesterday was my last day of work there. I am moving and I don't have a job lined up yet'; however, I am curious to know if they can come to my job and do a final disposition there when I do find another one. The man didn't identify which company he was working for. He only said that he was Jack Johnson, the attorney handling my debt collection.

They can sue you for that unpaid amount, plus interest and costs, and then garnishee your future wages and bank accounts for years to come. It would be very smart to see a lawyer to discuss bankruptcy (and possible other options) ASAP.
