Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

No disclosure, contract

I live in NY and paid a Georgia bail bonding company $3,000.00, via telephone and credit card transaction, to bond my daughter out of a Ga. jail. I signed nothing and received nothing, and was told little except that they would bond her out, and I my $2,500.00 collateral would be returned when case was settled. The case was heard and disposed 5 months ago, and company now refuses to return collateral, claiming ''violation of a term of contract''. I did not sign or receive ANY type of contract, this company never disclosed or advised me of any terms or conditions to this bail bond, yet now claims because terms were violated they're keeping my $2,500 collateral.

Company lawyer, who's extremely hostile & threatened me with ''arrest for telephone harrassment'' if I call bond company, says that I did not have to sign anything, and that my daughter's signature on the bail agreement is one and the same as, and suffices for, MY signature, required as indemnitor. Neither attorney or company answer my calls any longer or returns correspondence. Since I live in NY and tcompany's in Georgia, do I have any recourse, and which state's consumer laws apply?

Re: No disclosure, contract

Will you please provide the name of the County where your daughter's case was heard? I'll need to know that to determine whether I'm close enough to handle the matter.

Thanks,

Greg Douds
