Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Mr. Ashmore, I have no money to hide. Ill probably pay more money filing for bankruptcy than what im being sued for. All I get is child support and most of that is paid towards my son medical bill..at the end of the month only have enough in my account to keep it opened. If they freeze my account I have no way to pay my son medical bill and my kids child support will be paying an alleged credit card debt for me..Im basically trying to safeguard the support i recieve for them..not hide money

In any event, there are several ways to protect the money that goes directly to your son's medical bills, including (1) having the father pay the medical bills directly; (2) having the father give you the check for medical bills, but make it out directly to the medical provider; or (3) opening up an account where the check for your son's medicals would be deposited. You would be the trustee and the account would be for the benefit of your son. Talk with a representative of your bank to determine the best way to protect the funds that are for the benefit of your son. You would not use your social security number for that account.
