Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Can I Dispute?

I had a family share plan with my daughter. She ran the bill up and I was unaware until I received the bill. At the time I was laid off of work when I purchased the phones. Isn't it some type of law that states I dont have to pay this because I was unaware of my daughters actions or something about me not working.. What should I do. This happened in 2004. I want to try to dispute it if i can.

Re: Can I Dispute?

It's your bill. You owe it. Write a check before your credit history is further harmed.

Re: Can I Dispute?

Of course there is no such law. Otherwise people would blame the bill on their daughter. If you did not wish to be resposible for the bill you should not have signed a contract plan that made you responsible for someone else's usage.
