i rented a camera from a rental company my fathr passed away a few weeks later and i had to leave quick and sudden my cousin offered to take back the camera for me mind you my best freind too. anyways i received a court date stating they didnt receive it anyways i cant find my cousin she basicly fled with it wont answer my calls nothing and now i have to go to court i tried to work with the rental company to pay it of in i amonth of installments bu they wont hear of it its eithor 10% of payment or nothing so its court for me i cant afford to pay it all in full due to i will be homeless and kicked out of school i want to pay it off in at least 2 payments 3 the most so my question is what should i expet in court .jail time ? garnishment ? judgement / what please give me some advice im pulling my hair with the stress

They are suing you for money damages in a civil forum, so they cannot send you to jail. They can only get a judgment against you for the total and then try and collect it. If you really can't pay, they will normally work with you and work out a payment schedule.
