Armed Robbery and 1st Degree Assault

The D.A Offered my brother 20 yrs. serve 10 for attempted armed robbery, 2 1st degree assault charges, theft by recieving and possesion of stolen property. He is only 18, is there any way these charges can be reduced and or combined for him to qualify for the first offenders act? This is the first time he has every been arrested for anything!!!

Whether or not he can get the first offenders act is completely up to the judge. I know that most judges around here would not give first offender probation for serious violent charges such as armed robbery.

It doesn't sound like a bad deal considering there is a 10 year minimum for armed robbery. So if the evidence is against him, it sounds like your brother's lawyer did pretty well.
