Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I was attacked in my own house by two people. There were many witnesses and im pressing crimanal charges but i alo wish to sue them. What grounds can i sue on and what reward in money could i expect from suing them for assualt, battery, etc. ?

You should consult an attorney about the specific facts of your case PRIOR to filing a civil lawsuit. However, given the facts above, you could sue for assault and battery. Your damages will be: (i) all reasonable hospital and doctor bills related to the attack -- past, present, and future, (ii) your pain and suffering.

You may also consider obtaining a restraining order against the attackers so that they cannot get within a certain distance of you.

What were you physical damages is an important BUT in these case I have found emotional and cosequential damages are greater and usually more important to a jury
