Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Given that my car is an extension of my house (with regard to GA gun laws, anyway), would it be considered trespassing if an insurance investigator or a PI places an unauthorized GPS tracking device on my car? In the latest Supreme Court ruling, Justice Scalia seems to make this point...

Also, if an unauthorized device is found, does it have to be returned?
