Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

my daughters father was charged with felony theft by conversion in ga. (pawned a laptop from a rent to own buissiness) he served a few months and was put on felony probation. he recently came to ny for his daughters bday without permission from his po. the police came to my door to get him ( no additional charges/crimes) he was extradited back to ga. we want him to serve all time in jail with no probation after so that he can get back to ny with his child. he is a non violant and has never been in serious trouble before this. how much time do you think we r looking at? public defender. no lawyer.
