Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I was placed on First Offender Probation, in Georgia, on Nov. 1990 for twenty years. I successfully completed and received a copy of the Notification of Discharges by Operation of Law dated 11/06/2010. I had been submitting my resume for various jobs and if the application asked if I had ever been convicted of a felony I would answe No. Since I did not hear from any of the employeers I conducted a background check on myself via been verified.com. I was surprised to find that I had a felony conviction. I contacted the probation office and was told that there were problems between judges and the GBI in regards to First Offender treatment. I requested a copy of my recoreds for the GBI's GCIC organization and it stated that I was a convicted felon. I contacted them and faxed a copy of the Notification of Discharge and my records have been update removing the Felony Conviction. My question is, since I missed employment opportunities, based on the database showing me as a felon, do I have any legal right to hold someone accountable.
