Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Shoplifting

My fiance was arrested for shoplifting and has a court date in a month. We are unsure if he needs a lawyer, what type of punishment he will receive and if we get bail money back. Please help me!

Re: Shoplifting

Assuming your girlfriend has no prior record, particularly no prior shoplifting, she should expect to get probation and a fine. She may be required to make restitution if the store didn't recover all the merchandize.

She could benefit from advice and representation by counsel familiar with this type case and the courts in your area which appears to be Acworth.

Provided she goes to court when scheduled and the case is completed the bond money will be returned assuming a cash bond was posted.

I would be happy to meet with and discuss this case should you desire to contact me.
