Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

19 yr old left home now my mom wants to sue

After 19 years of hurt and mental suffering, I left home in the middle of the night three weeks ago. Now my mom, who is mentally unstable(and one of the reasons why I left) is trying to hurt me by threating legal action against me and my friend who helped me get away. She has said threatening things to me like ''you've hurt me and you're going down'' or ''you will pay for this in this life or the next'' and i'm concerned for my safety. She's also threatened my friend. The latest I've heard is she is suing for mental duress. I'm not sure what the facts are, as she lies a lot. But I want to know what exactly can she do to me or my friend. I am an adult and so is the friend. I'm living in Georgia. I know shes my mom but she will stop at nothing. What can she do to me or my friend legally if anything?

Since there is no such thing in Georgia as a suit for mental duress, don't worry about something that doesn't exist and may never exist. In the unlikely event that she files a frivolous suit, see a lawyer at that time about damages for frivolous litigation.
