Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My 8 yr. old son said he was molested by 2 older boys (14 and 19) while he was at his dads for his visitation. I live in Georgia and my ex husband lives in Tn. Dfcs in both states are involved in this and there is an investigation going on but my ex has made it very clear that he doesnt believe my son and says he is lying. I know my son isnt making this up and he is terrified that he will have to go back around them. He had to go to his dads for the weekend because dfcs said he could go but he cant be around the boys that did this to him but he is allowed to be around the woman who is the mother of one of them and the other one is fixing to be her son in law. Is this legal? I dont have much faith in dfacs.

Your son says he was molested, and you are asking questions on an anonymous internet website rather than immediately contacting a lawyer, who likely will then call the police?? That makes it appear as though it is not an important issue for you. Call a lawyer tomorrow morning.

If you do believe he claims are true, you should have already done far more than call DFCS (which is certainly one of the things to do). You also should have immediately called the local police where the dad is to make a report, and you obviously already should have hired a lawyer to makie an emergency motion as to visitation. Until you do that last step (hire the lawyer and file, and get a judge to issue an order), you MUST comply with visitation or you can go to jail.
