Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

child support

I was served with papers for child support from my wife. We both live and work in GA and have for 2 years now. However, she filed for child support in South Carolina our former hometown. The filing was submitted on 12/18/06. I have not been notified by S.C., I assume because she intentionally entered an incorrect address and place of employment. Is this legal?

Re: child support

I am confused. If you were served with "paper" then you were notified by South Carolina. Seek the advice of a S.C. attorney, but she probably can file in S.C.
