I resently found out I am the father of a one year old daughter thru a paternity test. I live in California and the mother and my daughter live in Georgia. I found out thru friends that the mother is neglecting her. How do I get custody. I do not have money for a lawyer. I am extremly worried about my daughter that I have never met.

Since the child resides in the State of Georgia, I think you should consult with an attorney in that state. California does not have jurisdiction unless there is more information that you have not supplied with your question.

I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
