custody

i have a 5 year old daughter. at the time i gave birth i named my child after my boyfriend but she wasn't his. her father didn't want anymore children. now her bio father is in her life. do i have to get a dna test to have her name and birthcertificate changed even though my ex never signed the birth certificate. it is blank her bio father is claiming her and is not contesting it. what do we need to do?

If everyone is agreeable as to support, custody, name and all issues, he may be able to file an uncontested legitimization with you consenting to it. I would need to get more details as there may be other similar approaches. My office handles such matters. If you're in metro Atlanta, call me.
