Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My daughters friend was at our houe a lot. I did not kow he had a past of petty theft and compulsive lying. Over time jewlrey went missing. He was finaly caught when he got sloppy. His mother knew about the past and did not warn me. He told her I was paying him for yard work. I felt like this should have been a warning sign for her. Ok .. since he is 15, and she knew his past. Is she liable for the value of my items? I was thinking about going to magistrate court and filling a claim against her.

You have no case against her.

You can sue the 15 year old thief's parents.
