Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Divorce couples stay in different states.
I stay in Georgia and my husband stay in California and is in jail. I am filing the petition for divorce myself , how do I notify my husband or do I have to.

Since in some counties filing without a divorce tends to be a disaster, and since the legal fees may be a few hundred dollars at most (if uncontested our fee starts at $99), why proceed yourself? And yes, you do have to either serve him or have service acknowledged.
