Any person of the opposite sex live with me and my child

My ex-fiance and i have a 2yr old boy. We have separated 2 times in 1 tear. I have a case open now. We slpit joint custody but with me being the tiebreaker. My lawyer is telling me that i am not allowed to have any person of the opposite sex stay the night or live with me untill my child is 18. Is this true?
