Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am recently divorced and in the decree it stated that I have the use of the house until our youngest child is out of school. Under the current circumstances I cannot afford to live there. He is behind on child support and due to a domestic situation I do not feel it is a safe place to have my children. Is there anyway that I can get the house out of my name?

The answer depends on the precise wording of your divorce papers.

Since you had a home and children at stake, certainly you used a lawyer, and that lawyer will know the contents of your paperwork and can answer you. If you failed to have counsel, see a lawyer now to review the papers to see if you addressed this issue in some way (you should have).
