Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

sueing for college tuition from parent

I want to sue my Father for college tuition due to the divorce papers between my parents which states that he must pay half of my schooling. Should I sue him after I am done with school? Do most people win? Is it simply tuition or are fees and dorms included?

Re: sueing for college tuition from parent

You can take him to court now because he violated the court's order requiring him to pay for your tuition. The court can order your father to reimburse you for past payments and pay for future tuition. If such an order is violated again, you can take him to court again.
