Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Unclaimed property

My daughter & fiancee were living together in house she owned. Their wedding was called off and she is putting the house up for sale. He was asked to remove all property but did not. She now has property in her possession. Can she sell his property to recoup some of the expenses. House is in GA and in her name only. She pays all utilities.

Re: Unclaimed property

Of course GA law will govern anything to do with the property. It would be nice to know the amount of things. It would also be nice to know what expenses are claimed to be off-set by the sale of his property.

If she has claims take him to small claims court and let a judge decide. Maybe send him a certified letter and let him know you plans, or maybe you don't want him to know you are planning to sell his stuff.
