Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

How can I get visitation of my daughter? I have not seen her in 4 months. Her mother will not return my calls or texts. I have been to a lawyer who says I have to go through a legitimation process. At the time of her birth I signed a Acknowledgement of Paternity when I signed her birth certificate. Also I pay monthly child support. Her mother will not sign a parenting plan. Can you please tell if I can go to court for visitation without having to hire a lawyer.

Just like you have a right, if you have a cavity, to buy caulk at Home Depot and try to fill a dental cavity, you have a right to attempt to be a lawyer and file your own legitimization. Both are awful ideas and both will go badly.

That legitimization case will not only decide visitation, but custody and decision making, health insurance and will re-decide child support. You really need a lawyer to get it done properly.
