long term disability
I'm on long term disability but i returned back too work part time. My employer told me that they could no longer accomdated my pt base. No yesterday i found out that i have breast cancer and in 3 week i will not have any insurance just a long term disability check. Can they do this and is it legal?

At minimum, you should be eligible to purchase COBRA insurance unless the total number of employees employed by your employer is below the statutory limit. You should also call the Department of Family and Childrens Services in your county to determine whether your breast cancer qualifies you for state sponsored health plan options. Your questions regarding your employers' actions should be addressed to a disability law attorney.
