I purchased a used vehicle and was told that the car never had been in an accident and given a carfax report. when I ran the vin, I found out it previously had been wrecked. What are my legal options?

You omit many facts. Did you purchase "as is" with an opportunity to inspect the car? If you, you might be out of luck. Any evidence the seller falsified the CarFax, or even knew it had been wrecked? Why didn't you "run the vin" before you purchased? Purchasing a car "as is," usually means just that and purchasers either take a chance, or have the car inspected by an independent mechanic.
